Kansas coach Charlie Weis went back to his old stomping grounds to land a commitment from defensive end Austin Stevens, according to JayhawkSlant.com.
Stevens, a two-star prospect according to Rivals.com, hails from Montclair, N.J. He is listed at 6-foot-4 and 245 pounds and showed scholarship offers from Boston College, Rutgers, Temple and Buffalo.
Stevens is the eighth known commitment for KU's 2014 class.
